This residence at Lucretia Avenue was originally a single storey dwelling with architectural style similar to a Californian bungalow.
Architect Robert H Simpson had already built two stunning homes on the same street and this was to be his third and unfortunately last.
The original building kept the 4 perimeter walls of the single storey and the plans were to add an additional storey with five gables (each one slightly different from the other) and three hip roofs. Inspired by the book Sweetness and light by Mark Girouard the build takes on many similar styles of architecture to the Queen Anne movement with its curved window skirts and tudor gables.
